The Friendly Kitchen

The Friendly Kitchen in Concord NH has one purpose - to feed the hungry. Since The Friendly Kitchen first began in 1980, it has served over 600,000 meals. We were lucky enough to be selected to help them develop their new website to help spread the word about the great work that they do. Their new website shares information about their organization and helps to recruit volunteers. The site is warm and inviting, just like them!

The new website started by creating a welcoming web design. The design needed to convey that they are a open, welcoming space that helps people of all backgrounds. We accomplished this by using a combination of photography, text and icons. We were very happy to use so many great photos that were provided by the customer. The design also had to be responsive so that it would work well on devices of all sizes. 

Once the new design was approved we set them up on our subscription CMS. This CMS is very powerful and gives them all of the tools they need to manage their website. They can easily add/edit pages, text, images, contact forms and more. The CMS also has powerful SEO tools built in so that they can be confident that their website is ranking as high on Google as possible. 

We are very happy with how this website turned out and we know it will be a great tool for The Friendly Kitchen for many years.
